This past weekend I –Joey Paur– went and saw National Geographic’s documentary Free Solo, which follows the journey of Alex Honnold’s dream of climbing Yosemite’s famous El Capitan, a 3,000-foot vertical rock face… without any ropes or gear.

This film is one of the best I’ve seen this year and it was a completely nerve-wracking, inspirational, and emotional cinematic experience. My palms were sweating through almost the entire film! I can’t recommend this movie enough! You have to see on the big screen if you can!

I’ve got a awesome video here for you to watch that offers a 360 experience of parts of Honnold’s climb up El Capitan. It’s pretty insane and takes an insanely insane person to do something like this! This has got to be one of the greatest and most badass physical human achievements ever! It’s truly breathtaking.
